Eguana hires ex-Mercedes-Benz Energy BD manager

Eguana Technologies Inc (CVE:EGT), a Canada-based provider of residential and commercial energy storage systems, on Monday said it has appointed Livio Filice as Director of Residential Sales, North America.

Filice is a former Energy Storage Business Development (BD) Manager for Mercedes-Benz Energy. Before that he worked for Sonnen Inc as Sales Manager for the Americas.

"At Mercedes-Benz Energy and Sonnen Inc Livio was responsible for introducing residential lithium energy storage systems to the market through the establishment of high-quality continental distribution networks," Eguana chief executive Justin Holland said and added that Filice's market expertise and existing network are expected to speed up the company's growth across North America.

Eguana's Evolve home energy storage system, which includes the company's proprietary power electronics system and LG Chem battery modules, was recently endorsed by Mercedes Benz Energy, which will recommend it to its distributors. Eguana announced that last week and said it would have to delay the initial roll-out of the fully automated storage solution from June to its fourth fiscal quarter, which ends on September 30.
