EDPR to sell 149-MW wind portfolio in Poland to Mirova

EDP Renovaveis wind farm

August 5 (Renewables Now) - EDP Renovaveis SA (ELI:EDPR) announced on Wednesday it has agreed to sell a 100% equity stake in a 149-MW Polish wind portfolio to Mirova, the sustainable investment unit of France's Natixis Asset Management.

The renewables arm of Portuguese utility Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) will sell its full equity shareholding in the portfolio for an enterprise value of around EUR 303 million (USD 359.4m), or EUR 2 million per MW. The deal is subject to customary closing adjustments.

The transaction concerns six wind parks, of which 20 MW are already in operation while the remaining 129 MW of plants are currently under construction, with a commercial operation date (COD) planned for later this year.

This sale is part of the company's EUR-8-billion asset rotation programme for the 2021-2025 period, EDPR points out in the press release.
