September 16 (Renewables Now) - EDP Renovaveis SA (ELI:EDPR), or EDP Renewables, this week reported reaching 463 MW of installed wind power generating capacity in Italy.

On Thursday, the division of Portugal’s EDP SA (ELI:EDP) said it has hooked to the grid a 44-MW wind farm in the hamlet of Fulgatore in Sicily. This facility is comprised of nine wind turbines that can produce some 83 GWh per year. It was awarded to EDPR in the fourth DM 2019 auction in January 2021.

On Friday, the company also announced the inauguration of the 35-MW Craco and Stigliano wind farm in Basilicata. It has built the particular wind farm using seven 3.5-MW turbines that can generate some 79 GWh of total power annually.

Earlier this month, the company finalised the divestment of a portfolio of seven wind farms in Italy totalling 172 MW to local peer ERG SpA (BIT:ERG).
