PV tower developer Three Sixty Solar debuts on Canadian bourse
Aug 15, 2022 17:20 CESTFebruary 1 (Renewables Now) - Spanish regional savings bank Caja Rural de Asturias has secured 100% renewable power for all of its offices and satellite buildings in Spain after awarding the supply contract to Portuguese utility EDP SA (ELI:EDP).
The agreement with EDP will run for the next ten years and represents the longest power contract that Caja Rural de Asturias has ever awarded, the cooperative bank said in an announcement on Monday.
The deal will benefit the bank’s 128 buildings and offices, which together consume more than 1,800 MWh per year.
For EDP, the agreement is in line with its 2021-2025 strategic plan, which will see the utility invest in more renewables, distribution grids and in offers to bring innovative energy solutions to its customers, the bank added.
