Eco Energy gets clearance to build 11-MWp solar park in Wales
Jul 22, 2014 - UK renewable energy firm Eco Energy World Ltd said at the end of last week it had won a planning approval for an 11.47-MWp solar project in Wales.
More specifically, the project was approved by the Neath Port Talbot Planning and Development Control Committee on July 8, Eco Energy said in a press release. The company has agreed to limit construction activities to weekdays and outside school gate hours.
The proposed solar park will be located at Tyle’r-fedwen Farm, Cwmafan, and will use almost 46,000 panels that will be able to meet the power needs of about 3,500 average households each year.
Eco Energy will provide some GBP 260,000 (USD 444,000/EUR 329,000) to the local community for the entire 25-year life of the solar plant through a fund formed for that purpose.
