Doosan, KEPCO, Posco to build 60-MW wind farm in S Korea

Sep 6, 2011 - Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction (SEO:034020), Korea Electric Power (SEO:015760), or KEPCO, and IT services provider Posco ICT Co (KDQ:022100) have agreed to build a 60-MW offshore wind farm off Jeju Island in South Korea.

The companies have signed a memorandum of understanding for the project, which is expected to cost some KRW 250 billion (USD 233m/EUR 166m), green energy news portal Rechargenews.com reported yesterday.

Construction of the wind farm is expected to begin this month and end in 2014.
