Nov 5, 2014 - Netherlands-based fund management company DIF said yesterday it had agreed to sell 57 MW of operational wind capacity in Germany to local insurer Allianz SE (ETR:ALV).
To be more specific, the DIF Renewable Energy Fund has sealed a deal to dispose of nine operational wind farms to the Allianz Renewable Energy Fund for an undisclosed sum. The plants being divested are located in the federal states of Sachsen-Anhalt, Sachsen, Hessen, Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
The transaction has to be approved by regulators before it could be closed. Its completion is expected to occur by the end of the month.
DIF mentioned that this is the second such deal for its renewable energy fund, as it sold another 32 MW of German wind capacity in March 2011.
