Danish Greentech Energy allowed to unfreeze parts of Cagliari II wind farm
Nov 22, 2011 - Danish wind and solar farm manager Greentech Energy Systems A/S (CPH:GES) said today that the Court of Cagliari had unblocked seven of the 16 turbines of the company's Energia Alternativa (Cagliari II) wind farm in Cagliari, Sardinia.
The decision of the court will enable Greentech to finalise the works at the project.
In addition, Greentech expects that the remaining nine turbines at the wind farm will be also unfrozen shortly.
In the summer of 2011 the construction of the wind farm was stopped for pre-emptive reasons due to, according to the public prosecutor, irregularities committed in the development of the project during the period from 2003 to 2008.
The Cagliari II wind farm will have a capacity of 24 MW.
