October 26 (Renewables Now) - Turbine component delivery has been completed for a 23.5-MW wind farm in County Derry, Northern Ireland, being constructed by UK-based Renewable Energy Systems Ltd (RES).

Collet & Sons Ltd, the firm responsible for the transport of the 110 turbine components, announced on Tuesday that their work has been completed over the course of two months. The project consists of 10 E92 turbines supplied by Enercon.

RES sold the Craiggore wind project to Italian energy company ERG SpA (BIT:ERG) in May 2019. The UK firm is responsible for the construction of the wind farm, which is expected to be energised by the end of the year.

Once operational, the facility will produce about 80 GWh a year, or enough electricity for about 21,500 households.
