Clir Renewables, a Vancouver-based market intelligence platform for the wind and solar power technologies, has arrived in Spain, having secured its first assignment it the market.
The software developer said it had been selected by an unnamed Spanish wind farm asset manager to provide its services to two onshore wind farms in Spain.
Clir brings to the market data from some 200 GW of installed assets, it says, and expects this will enable it to provide a full suite of solutions to customers across the Iberian Peninsula.
With Clir’s solution, the first customer will be able to assess the performance of the two wind farms on a per turbine and project basis and gain insight for optimal asset operation, the company said.
“We are thrilled to be entering the Spanish market through our recent appointment,” commented Paula Bellsola, Head of Iberia at Clir Renewables. “Our ability to easily and quickly review data to identify instances of underperformance and early signs of faults will be crucial in supporting key asset owners and developers across the Iberian Peninsula as they strive to reach their countries’ commitments to carbon neutrality by 2050.”
