Clenergen begins full power generation at 18 MW biomass plant in India
(ADPnews) - Nov 4, 2010 - US biomass company Clenergen Corp (PINK:CRGE) said yesterday that its 18 MW biomass facility in India started full power generation.
Clenergen expects the facility to bring around USD 15 million (EUR 11m) in annual revenue.
The firm's subsidiary Clenergen India Private Limited signed an agreement to buy the plant in June this year and has since carried out repairs in order for it to achieve the 18 MW rated capacity and to produce 345,000 kWh per day. The plant uses combustion steam technology to generate power.
Clenergen focuses on installing, owning and operating biomass power plants, providing electricity to local municipalities, manufacturers and national grids. Its facilities are powered by the use of biomass produced from feedstock cultivated for this purpose.
