State-owned power producer China Guodian Corp (CGC) said Thursday its Yunnan-based unit will construct 199.5 MW of wind power capacity in the province under governmental deals.
The subsidiary inked two separate investment and development agreements for wind parks during the Third China-South Asia Expo event in Kunming city on June 13.
The bigger pact, struck with the local government of Lijiang city’s county of Huaping, calls for the development of as much as 150 MW of wind parks locally. It marks the company’s first wind job for 2015, the parent noted.
In the meantime, the firm also joined hands with Qiaojia county, Zhaotong city for a 49.5-MW wind power scheme. Further details have not been unveiled at this point.
Beijing-based CGC develops, invests, builds, operates and manages power generation assets. It is also active in the transportation, environmental protection, technological services and consultancy businesses.
