China Datang, Korea Electric Power to partner on Chinese wind project - report
(ADPnews) - Nov 23, 2010 - Power producer China Datang Corporation and South Korean utility Korea Electric Power Corp (SEO:015760) consider to jointly build a wind power project in China, a Korea Electric Power spokesperson was quoted as saying.
According to media reports, Datang Corporation will provide 60% of the required initial investment of USD 47 million (EUR 34.7m). Total investment for the project, which is planned to be located in northeastern Chinese province Liaoning, is estimated at USD 141 million.
The Korea Electric Power spokesperson said that the project is expected to have an installed capacity of 97.5 MW and to become operational by the end of the coming year.
Korea Electric Power will run the project for 20 years, starting from 2012.
