(ADPnews) - Sep 27, 2010 - US-based microturbine energy systems developer Capstone Turbine Corp (NASDAQ:CPST) is expanding its distribution network in eastern Europe to capitalise on growing interest in clean technologies in the region, news provider SeeNews reported last week, quoting a company official.
"The process of moving into new markets involves working with Capstone's local distributors on both field and technical training so they can better understand the applications and the opportunities for the company's products. Then we will work very closely with them to understand where the fit is," SeeNews quoted Capstone vice president of sales and marketing Jim Crouse as saying.
In July, the company signed an agreement with Slovenian company Laibach to distribute its products in Slovenia and Croatia. Laibach will sell, engineer, construct, commission and service Capstone microturbines in a number of industries, including combined heat and power (CHP), combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP), hybrid electric vehicles, agriculture and biogas, and landfills.
Capstone also has distributors in Belarus, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Turkey.
