Spanish renewable power retailer and project developer Capital Energy has around 262 MW of wind farm projects lined up in the region of Galicia, northwestern Spain.
On Monday, the company announced that it plans to invest more than EUR 320 million (USD 317.4m) in nine projects and support communities that will host the wind farms and their associated infrastructure.
Some of the projects -- the 31.2-MW Banzas, the 24.24-MW Maragouto and the 30-MW Troitomil -- have been in the works for over a year. Of the remaining six, the smallest will be the 13.5-MW Barrosino and the largest the 41.4-MW Alvite I.
Once in operation, the nine wind farms will generate around 750 GWh-plus per year, Capital Energy estimates.
