Spanish renewable power retailer and project developer Capital Energy intends to build a 20-MW wind project in the region of Navarre, northern Spain.
The construction of the Joluga wind farm and its a 66-kV high-voltage line will require over EUR 20 million (USD 19.9m) in investments, Capital Energy said on Monday.
The project development was unveiled after Capital Energy entered into agreements with the town halls of Ezprogui, Leache and Lumbier, which will host the wind farm and related infrastructure. The company is offering to support the local communities and activities that matter to them, it said.
Joluga will feature five 4-MW wind turbines capable of generating some 60 GWh per year, or enough to meet power consumption needs of almost 25,000 Navarre homes, the promoter added.
