August 20 (Renewables Now) - Swiss private asset manager Capital Dynamics said today that it has signed a deal to buy a 68-MW wind portfolio in Northern Ireland from Brookfield Renewable Partners.

Through its European Clean Energy Infrastructure (CEI) business, the Zug-based company has agreed to buy 100% of the equity in a portfolio of four operating wind farms that are incentivised under the Northern Ireland Renewables Obligation (NIRO) support mechanism.

Brookfield has a long-term services arrangement tied to the divested portfolio.

Capital Dynamics noted that this purchase will make it one of the largest independent operators of wind power in Northern Ireland. At present, its CEI team has about 5.4 GW of gross power generation across more than 100 projects around the world.
