Camco Intl shareholders approve name change

Nov 1, 2012 - UK-based firm Camco International Ltd (LON:CAO) said its shareholders had approved a change of the company’s name to Camco Clean Energy plc at an extraordinary meeting held on Wednesday.

On October 15, 2012, the company announced plans to change its name to better reflect its increased focus on green energy projects in North America, Asia and Africa.

Camco explained that the move was part of efforts to expand its business activities to owning and running clean energy projects rather than only providing services to other developers. Camco Clean Energy will be active in biogas, renewables, energy efficiency, land-use, energy storage and policy development.
