Bulgarian Atanassov Group to build biogas plant - report
(ADPnews) - Dec 29, 2010 - Bulgarian Atanassov Group, based in the northeastern town of Dobrich, will build a biogas facility, the company's manager Atanas Atanassov was quoted saying by Dnevnik.
The project is expected to go on stream in two years and to be financed with funds under European programmes. According to Atanassov, who is the owner of the first methane station in Dobrich, the facility will be the first biogas unit in Bulgaria.
The firm intends to generate fuel from rapeseed, sunflower and wheat scrapings. The unit will be built on a site owned by the company near its methane station, with the cost of the organic fuel seen to be lower than the average fuel price on the market, the entrepreneur added.
Apart from Atanassov Group, a biogas project is also being drafted by a company located in the northern city of Pleven.
