Budimex, GSG Towers continue talks on wind tower factory in Poland - report
Nov 4, 2011 - Polish builder Budimex (WAR:BMX), part of Spain's Ferrovial (MCE:FER), is continuing negotiations with local wind towers supplier GSG Towers to build a wind tower factory in Poland, economic news portal wnp.pl reported.
The companies have not fulfilled yet the conditions needed to close the PLN-96.34-million (USD 30.3m/EUR 22.1m) agreement signed on October 6. The contract envisages GSG Towers to make an advance payment to Budimex or extend the financial guarantees in set terms, according to the website.
The agreement provides for the construction of the factory within 15 months from the start of work on the project.
GSG Towers, co-owned by Ukrainian investors and the Polish state, offers steel structure solutions for onshore and offshore wind projects.
