Brookfield Renewable Power obtains USD 350m loan for Ontario wind project
(ADPnews) - Oct 14, 2010 - Canadian Brookfield Renewable Power Inc said on Tuesday it had secured CAD 354 million (USD 350m/EUR 253m) in project financing for its 166-MW wind power project in southwestern Ontario.
The Bank of Nova Scotia (TSE:BNS) and The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd acted as lead arrangers of the three-year credit facility.
Construction works on the Comber wind farm, located in Essex county, have already begun and the facility is to come on stream in the autumn of 2011, Brookfield said.
