Brazil's Centre-South ethanol producers sold 1.94 billion litres (512.49 million gallons) of hydrous ethanol in July, an improvement of 12.94% year-on-year.
Anhydrous ethanol sales amounted to 755.02 million litres, local sugarcane industry association Unica said on Monday.
In all, total ethanol sales in July reached 2.92 billion litres, with 222.34 million litres intended for export and 2.70 billion litres for the domestic market.
Production in the last 15 days of July for hydrous and anhydrous ethanol was 1.81 billion litres and 835.06 million litres, respectively.
From the start of the sugarcane harvest, the total volume of ethanol produced in the country's Centre-South region was 15.48 billion litres, of which 10.69 billion were hydrous and 4.79 billion anhydrous, Unica noted.
