BayWa closes financing for 66-MW wind portfolio in Italy

March 20 (Renewables Now) - BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH and NORD/LB Norddeutsche Landesbank have closed the financing for a 66-MW wind portfolio in Italy.

The renewables arm of German diversified group BayWa AG (ETR:BYW6) said in a statement that the pair has completed financing with a total volume exceeding EUR 100 million (USD 113.6m). It concerns three wind farms in the Italian regions of Lazio and Campania.

The Arlena and Tessennano wind parks totalling 18 MW were commissioned in October 2018. They are located in the correspondent towns in Lazio and are made up of a total of nine Vestas V110 turbines.

The third plant is the 48-MW Eolica San Lupo facility in Campania. It consists of 16 Vestas V117 turbines that should be commissioned in July 2019.
