German wind turbine service provider Availon GmbH said Thursday it has signed servicing contracts for 78 MW of wind power capacity at the Husum Wind trade fair that took place last month in Germany.
The contracts cover a total of 48 turbines and come from "new undisclosed clients from four different European countries." The turbines include Vestas V80 and V90, Gamesa G80 and G58, GE 1.5 and DeWind D6 machines.
Three quarters of the orders are based on partial maintenance contracts and the rest on full maintenance agreements. The company offers modular contracts, where customers can choose the scope of the service.
Availon specialises in independent services for turbines of manufacturers Gamesa, Vestas Wind Systems A/S and General Electric Co. It says it has more than 2.4 GW covered by comprehensive servicing contracts outside Germany. Besides its home market, Availon has employees in Spain, Italy, Austria, Poland, Portugal and the US.
Earlier this week, another German wind turbine servicing company, SeebaWind Service GmbH, said it expected to secure contracts for over 150 MW of wind farms in 2016 following the Husum Wind trade fair.
