Automotive supplier Brose to source US clean power from DTE

Family-owned automotive supplier Brose has enrolled in the MIGreenPower voluntary renewable energy programme of DTE Energy Co (NYSE:DTE).

The Michigan-based utility said in a statement that Brose’s commitment will be sourced from new clean energy projects that are currently being developed. They are planned to begin commercial operations in early 2023.

Brose, which manufactures mechatronic components and systems, will purchase 11,445 MWh of clean electricity annually over 10 years and thus avoid the emission of 81,110 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) over the term of the contract.

Germany-based Brose Fahrzeugteile SE & Co KG has been operating in North America since 1993 and presently has two factories in Michigan, in addition to its regional headquarters.
