Arevon, Tesla ink 2 GW/6 GWh battery supply deal

September 29 (Renewables Now) - Renewable energy company Arevon Energy Inc yesterday announced a master supply agreement with Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) for 2 GW/ 6GWh of battery energy storage systems.

Arevon will use the Tesla Megapacks for its Falcon portfolio, in which it is partnering with energy firm Tenaska. The portfolio consists of standalone storage facilities across California to be developed in load centres over the next four years.

The company estimates that by the end of the year it will have overseen the installation and operation of Tesla Megapack systems with a combined capacity of 250 MW/1,000 MWh in California and Nevada.
