April 2 (Renewables Now) - Paris-based investment firm Ardian Infrastructure has purchased the entire stake in the 57-MW Lakiakangas I wind farm in Finland, it announced today.

Lakiakangas I was sold by CPC Finland Oy, a unit of German wind farm operator CPC Germania. CPC will stay on board to provide the technical and commercial asset management of the wind farm alongside Ardian and its sustainable energy platform eNordic.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

At present, Lakiakangas I has 14 wind turbines in operation, with permits for capacity boost to 90 MW. It’s production output is sold under long-term contracts, Ardian said.

The wind farm represents Ardian’s investment debut in Finland. The firm has already made three wind farm investments in Norway and Sweden, which with Lakiakangas I included, add up to nearly 500 MW of gross capacity to the Nordics portfolio.

Ardian’s total renewables portfolio contains 3.5 GW of capacity across Europe and the Americas.
