Apex Clean Energy has sold the 500-MW White Mesa wind project in Texas and its associated corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs) to an unnamed buyer.
White Mesa Wind is currently being built in Crockett County, where it is expected to commence commercial operations next year.
According to previous announcements, the project has off-take contracts with corporations such as Applied Materials Inc (NASDAQ:AMAT) and an aggregation agreement with Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL), eBay Inc (NASDAQ:EBAY), Samsung Austin Semiconductor LLC and Sprint (NYSE:S).
Upon completion, White Mesa Wind will be the third-largest single-phase, single-site wind farm in the country, Apex Clean Energy says. The largest -- the 525-MW Aviator Wind -- was also developed by the same company.
