Alternative Fuel Technologies to boost R&D capacity of Michigan unit

(ADPnews) - Oct 28, 2010 - US Alternative Fuel Technologies Inc (PINK:AFTC) said Thursday it intended to bolster by 25% the capacity of its research & development facility in Redford, Michigan as it expects more orders from commercial and government customers.

"This planned expansion will allow the Company to continue along its growth curve, ramp up its manufacturing capability, and increase capacity across the board," CEO James McCandless said.

In a bid to enhance the quality of its injection systems, the company, active in the research and development of alternative fuel systems, also plans to buy a high-precision Computer Numerical Control (CNC) grinder and a Talyrond high-precision measurement instrument and to hire additional engineers in the coming four to six months.

Interest from global commercial and government customers towards Alternative Fuel Technologies's fuel injection systems improved significantly in the past year, with the company's deliveries in 2010 surpassing figures in all previous years.
