Aldesa targets new projects abroad following recent order in Poland

Jul 23, 2012 - Spanish civil engineering and services firm Aldesa targets wind and photovoltaic (PV) contracts in Romania, the USA, Mexico and South Africa after the company recently won a PLN-299.8-million (USD 86.8m/EUR 71.7m) order to build and kick off a 40-MW wind farm in Wicko, northern Poland.
The Spanish firm is also studying possible deals in India, Aldesa said in a press release today.
As for the Polish order, awarded by state-run energy firm Tauron Polska Energia (WAR:TPE), Aldesa, via its units Poland-based Aldesa Nowa Energia and Spanish Aldesa Construcciones, will install 20 wind turbines of the type 2 MW Vestas V90, the company added.
The renewable energy unit of Aldesa runs seven wind farms of more than 190.75 MW and nine solar projects of a total 45.8 MW.
