French renewable power producer Akuo Energy has completed the financing for 132 MW of wind farm projects in Poland, the company announced on Thursday.
The financing was arranged through Akuo’s equity partnership with Eurofideme 4, a fund managed by France's Mirova.
The projects are additionally supported by senior debt commercial loans obtained from Poland’s BNP Paribas Bank Polska SA (WSE:BNP) and mBank and German lender Commerzbank AG, Akuo said.
The 132-MW portfolio consists of three wind power projects and Akuo’s first in Poland. The French company secured them in the Polish government’s tender in late 2018.
Spanish construction group Aldesa has been contracted to build the wind farms through its local unit. Denmark’s Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) will supply 53 turbines that will populate the three sites.
