Acta nabs electrolyser supply deal with FutureE Fuel Cell
Nov 21, 2012 - Italian clean energy firm Acta SpA (LON:ACTA) has been chosen as the preferred electrolyser supplier by German firm FutureE Fuel Cell Solutions GmbH in a five-year deal seen to fetch sales of over EUR 3 million (USD 3.8m).
As part of the non-exclusive supply agreement, which Acta unveiled today, it is to supply to its German partner electrolysers based on its EL500 series and specially modified to meet the needs of FutureE's Jupiter Independence system. The latter solution combines fuel cell, electrolyser, energy management, hydrogen storage and water tank in one box. It relies on a platinum-based electrolyser to allow use with off-grid renewable energy sources.
"Integrating Acta's hydrogen generating technology into FutureE's system dramatically reduces costs therefore making commercial adoption viable for telecoms and other applications worldwide," the Italian company said in the press release.
