Oct 14, 2013 - Italian clean energy firm Acta SpA (LON:ACTA) said today it had landed a follow-on order for six 500L/h modular rack-mounted electrolysers from Taiwanese company M-Field Energy Ltd.
The order is for the new simplified electrolysers specially created for the Acta Power telecommunication back-up power solution, which was released April 2013. M-Field will integrate the Acta component into its telecom back-up power devices distributed across Asia and elsewhere.
Shipments of the first three units to M-Field are planned for early next month.
Acta's electrolysers are used for autonomous refueling through onsite hydrogen generation. Back-up power systems incorporating such components are used by telecommunications companies to lower the operating costs and security risks of their current base station back-up power systems.
Also, M-Field revealed plans to invest in CSA product certification of their back-up power system integrating Acta's electrolyser module as a specified component. Both companies are discussing the terms of a Master Purchase Agreement to support M-Field's investment in its system certification and the scale-up of product volumes in the mid-term.
