October 1 (Renewables Now) - Spanish renewables pure-player Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE), doing business as Acciona Energia, is issuing its maiden green bond, worth EUR 500 million (USD 580.3m).

The company said Thursday it has completed the pricing of the six-year notes, with the annual coupon set at 0.375% and a yield of 0.416%.

The bond will be given a BBB- rating by Fitch and BBB (high) by DBRS, Acciona Energia said. The notes will be listed on Euronext Dublin under the Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme that the company established for a maximum amount for EUR 3 billion.

Content that the issue was five times oversubscribed, Acciona Energia said it plans to become a recurring issuer in the bond market as it seeks to ensure optimal costs of financing.

In July, Acciona Energia completed its initial public offering (IPO) and separated funding and treasury from the parent group Acciona SA (BME:ANA). The renewables company plans to double its total installed capacity to reach 20 GW in 2025 with an investment of EUR 7.8 billion, it added.
