German renewables developer ABO Wind AG (ETR:AB9) posted a net profit of EUR 6.3 million (USD 7.4m) for the first half of 2021, which represented a slight growth compared with EUR 6.3 million reported in the same period a year earlier.
Revenues grew by about 4% year-on-year to EUR 61.7 million, mainly on contributions from six countries -- Germany, Finland, France, Spain, Greece and Ireland, ABO Wind said Tuesday.
Looking ahead, the company expects to surpass the 2020 full-year net profit of EUR 13.1 million in 2021, it said.
As for its projects, ABO Wind announced that its wind farms in Finland and Spain, totalling 207.7 MW, are about to be commissioned.
The company also highlighted the signing of its first power purchase agreement (PPA) in Colombia, tied to a 20-MW solar project, and the start of construction of its maiden wind farm in Poland.
ABO Wind’s total global wind, solar and storage project portfolio has swollen to 16,770 MW. This figure includes the capacity of projects that only have land secured for development, projects with permits in place and 635 MW of plants under construction, according to the developer.
