A2Sea A/S today said it has signed a contract to install the 102 Siemens turbines that will make up the East Anglia One offshore wind farm in the UK.
The 714-MW wind project off the Suffolk Coast in the North Sea is owned by ScottishPower Renewables, part of Spanish utility Iberdrola (BME:IBE), and is due to be fully commissioned in early 2020.
The Danish offshore installation specialist will start work on the wind farm in the summer of 2019. It will deploy its vessel Sea Challenger to install the 7-MW Siemens machines from the load out port in Great Yarmouth.
A2Sea chief executive Jens Frederik Hansen noted the company has previously worked with ScottishPower Renewables and Siemens Wind Power on the West of Duddon Sands offshore wind farm.
Headquartered in Fredericia, Denmark, A2Sea is owned by Dong Energy A/S (CPH:DENERG) and Siemens Wind Power.
