April 7 (Renewables Now) - 547 Energy LLC, the clean energy platform of Quantum Energy Partners, and unit of Greek renewables group Enteka SA have secured an off-take deal for a 153-MW wind project in Greece.

The country’s Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) has awarded the 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) to 547 Energy International European Holdings LLC, an affiliate of 547 Energy, and Enteka subsidiary Enora SA. The contract was obtained in Greece’s latest renewables tender and is the only winning proposal for onshore wind capacity, Quantum Energy Partners on Monday.

The specific wind park will be located in the Greek regional units of Imathia and Kozani. Including the latest deal, 547 Energy and Enora have jointly been awarded PPAs for a combined capacity of 288 MW.

In its technology-neutral renewables tender, conducted online, Greece awarded 502.94 MW, of which 350 MW was for solar photovoltaic (PV) projects.  “We are pleased that our projects were the only wind projects submitted to the Common Competitive auction and that we won despite significant competition from solar,” said Panagiotis Papastamatiou, development director of Enteka.
