Nov 14, 2013 - German wind power project developer WSB Neue Energien GmbH said today it has launched its Taczalin wind power project with a capacity of 45.1 MW, located 60 km (37.3 miles) west of Wroclaw in southwest Poland.
The wind park near the town of Legnica consists of 22 wind turbines with a capacity of 2.05 MW each and hub height of 100 metres. The farm will generate 120,000 MWh of green power annually, meeting the electricity needs of up to 25,000 households.
The wind farm is WSB's biggest wind power project so far and the second one in Poland. The company entered the Polish market in 2008 with its subsidiary WSB Parki Wiatrowe. Its first project, the Lipniki wind farm with a capacity of 30.75 MW, was completed in 2011.
