September 20 (Renewables Now) - Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) will supply turbines with a total capacity of 31.5 MW to German renewables developer Wpd AG for an onshore wind project in Brandenburg.
The wind turbine manufacturer will equip the Kantow wind park to be built some 90 km northwest of Berlin with seven N149/4.X machines with a capacity of 4.5 MW each.
The turbines will be built on hybrid towers with a hub height of 164 metres next summer, Nordex said in a press release on Tuesday.
Under the terms of the order, Nordex will provide maintenance services for the wind park for a period of 15 years with an option for a five-year extension.
Germany's Federal Network Agency awarded the Kantow project to Wpd's onshore wind energy arm in the spring of this year as part of the onshore wind auction.
