Wind’s share in UK power at 12.8% on Aug 1, coal still at 0

The share of wind power in the UK reached 12.80% on August 1 as wind turbines generated 73,231 MWh, while coal remained at zero.
Total power generation for the 24 hours arrived at 572,266 MWh, according to data by Elexon, the Balancing and Settlement Code Company (BSCCo). Biomass power accounted for 7.88% of that with 45,097 MWh produced.
