Wind was top power source in UK with 36.43% share on Mar 13

March 14 (Renewables Now) - Wind turbines supplied 245,474 MWh of electricity to the UK grid on March 13, reaching a share of 36.43% and beating even power generation by gas-fired power plants.

With 35,463 MWh produced, the share of biomass power stood at 5.26%.

Total power generation for the day arrived at 673,907 MWh, according to data by Elexon, the Balancing and Settlement Code Company (BSCCo). See below where UK's power came from on Wednesday.
