Wind Turbine Maker Nordex Enters Romanian Market, To Set up Local Unit
BUCHAREST (Romania), September 12 (SeeNews) – German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex said on Monday it has received two orders for projects totalling 20 megawatts in Romania.
The two customers in Romania have each ordered four N100/2500 machines along with long-term service agreements, Nordex said in a press release.
The Romanian wind farms are due to start operation by the end of 2011.
"Our target is to achieve a significant market share. The first projects are providing us with important experience for this. Being confident of the good prospects of the Romanian renewable energy market, we plan to set up a branch in the coming months," Nordex CSO Lars Bondo Krogsgaard said in the statement.
The company also projects a growing demand for wind investments from Poland and Bulgaria.
