Wind farms generate almost 40% of UK's power on Feb 17

February 18 (Renewables Now) - Wind turbines in the UK produced 238 GWh of power on Sunday or 39.66% of all electricity in the country, beating all other energy sources.

This is an increase from 191 GWh generated by wind farms on February 16, and 165 GWh on February 15.

On February 17, UK power plants produced 600 GWh in total, based on data by Elexon, the Balancing and Settlement Code Company (BSCCo). Details are available in the table below.
