March 18 (Renewables Now) - The share of wind power in total generation in France reached 15.09% on March 17 as wind turbines produced 194,359 MWh.

Wind power generation on Sunday decreased from 220,172 MWh on Saturday and 250,434 MWh on Friday, but since France's total output was also lower, the share of wind yesterday was slightly higher than that on March 16 and March 15.

Solar power plants produced 27,178 MWh on Sunday, 37,454 MWh on Saturday and 20,880 MWh on Friday, based on live data by transmission system operator (TSO) RTE.

The table below contains details on generation by different energy sources and their share in the country’s mix on Sunday, when France produced 1,288,245 MWh that day.
