Under the partnership, announced by power producer on Monday, Voltalia and its subsidiary Helexia, which focuses on rooftop solar and energy management, will analyse Auchan’s sites and make recommendations addressing the retailer’s carbon footprint and conventional energy consumption reduction targets. An action plan will be devised jointly after that, Voltalia said.
The duo will collaborate on plans related to energy management, energy efficiency, renewable electricity supplies through the construction of on-site solar plants by Helexia, as well as on options for power purchase agreements (PPA).
The study will be carried out in every country where Auchan Retail operates and Voltalia and Helexia are also present or might be, Voltalia said.
