October 24 (Renewables Now) - French renewable power plants operator Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) on Wednesday posted a 3% year-on-year increase in third-quarter (Q3) revenues.
The positive results are mainly attributed to the company's services business and its European portfolio diversification, specially through the acquisition of rooftop solar and energy management specialist Helexia.
Voltalia's CEO, Sebastien Clerc, also confirmed the renewable firm's positive projections for the second-half of 2019.
The French company closed the third quarter with consolidated revenues of EUR 56.2 million (USD 62.6m), driven by the strong performance of its services division, which improve to EUR 35.4 million, a 42% growth when compared to the same period last year.
In the energy segment, on the other hand, Voltalia revenues went down by 8% on the year to EUR 37.4 million, which was the result of the declined in wind production and selling prices in Brazil. The company’s renewable energy facilities generated 646 GWh of electricity, 2% less in annual terms.
Voltalia’s revenues in the first nine months of 2019 came at EUR 113 million, decreasing by 12% on a yearly basis. While revenues from the services business jumped by 71% to EUR 109.8 million, energy sales experienced a 14% decline to EUR 82.9 million.
Voltalia had 586.4 MW of installed capacity globally as of end-September.
