German public insurer Versicherungskammer Group is buying a local four-turbine wind farm with a total capacity of 23.6 MW that was developed and realised by German wind developer UKA Group.
The insurance company is being advised on the deal by the asset management arm of German wind and solar farms operator Encavis AG (ETR:CAP), the parties announced in a joint statement.
The wind farm consists of three Vestas turbines of the V150 - 6.0 MW models that are located in the municipality of Treplin and one Vestas turbine of type V150 - 5.6 MW in Gusow. The Treplin installations have been in operation since February 2022, while the Gusow one started electricity production last April.
UKB Umweltgerechte Kraftanlagen Betriebsführung GmbH is in charge of the technical management of the wind park.
“Through this acquisition, we are expanding our portfolio. With the consistent expansion of Renewable Energies, Versicherungskammer is making an active contribution to CO2 avoidance and thus to climate protection,” said Georg Distler, head of infrastructure investments at the company.
