US solar and storage firm Enable Energy Inc has been officially rebranded as BayWa r.e. Power Solutions Inc, almost a year after German renewables company BayWa r.e. AG took over the California-based business.
BayWa r.e. Power Solutions is now billed as “one of the leading solar and battery energy storage systems engineering, construction, and procurement (EPC) providers for the U.S. commercial, industrial and utility sectors”, said the company in the press release announcing the launch of the new identity.
Following the name change, the BayWa brand will be associated with over 100 MW of solar power and 175-MWh of storage capacity, both standalone and co-located with solar installations. The German owners have also inherited a late-stage project pipeline of 600 MW of solar and 1 GWh of storage projects, according to the release.
"We are excited to announce the rebranding of Enable Energy as BayWa r.e. Power Solutions, completing their transition into the BayWa r.e. family of companies," said Axel Veeser, managing director of BayWa r.e. USA LLC.
"As expected, they have been thriving and are a valuable addition to our organization in the Americas, allowing us to offer a complete suite of renewable energy solutions to our partners across the region," Veeser added.
