US Solar Energy Initiatives to install 2.5 MW capacity
(ADPnews) - Oct 8, 2010 - US renewable energy company Solar Energy Initiatives (OTC:SNRY) will build solar photovoltaic (PV) facilities with a capacity of 2.5 MW in Tennessee, it said yesterday.
The Tennessee Valley Authority will buy all the produced power under three power purchase deals with the company.
Construction of the projects, which will consist of 10,625 solar panels, will commence in the first three months of 2011 and will be completed in the summer of 2011. The facilities will save 4,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year.
Solar Energy said it will work together with a major funding source and a local solar installer on the facilities. Revenue from the projects is estimated at USD 10 million (EUR 7m).
