US plugs in 7.33 GW of large wind, solar in Jan-Aug 2017

The US has deployed some 7,328 MW of large-scale wind and solar power plants during the first eight months of the year, show the latest statistics released by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
Between January and August 2017, the country has switched on 4,607 MW of wind parks and 2,721 MW of solar farms. Just in August, the US has plugged in 503 MW of wind and 310 MW of solar power generating facilities.
